Philippe is director, Open Source at Arm. He has been with Arm for over 20 years developing ARM open source ecosystem in support of Arm technology. In collaboration with partners, he contributed to the formation of Linaro and more recently has been on the board of Xen Advisory group, DPDK, Confidential Computing Foundation and was instrumental in the formation of Arm’s Open Source office. He started his career working on micro-kernel design at a time when Linux kernel started being developed; when systems like the Mach kernel and Amoeba were under active research and development. He gained his PhD from Lancaster University (UK) and published in academic conferences and journals. In his spear time he enjoys hiking and cooking.
