Alvin Kim

Alvin Kim, Ph.D. is currently working at Mobile Communication division of Samsung Electronics since 2004. In Samsung Electronics, he has been working on a couple of R&D and commercialization projects related to mobile platforms including bada which is the first open smart phone platform announced by Samsung Electronics. His expertise and current interests are designing object-oriented application framework, Open API definition & management, blueprinting ecosystem around open platform, and architectural tradeoff analysis for resolving various platform issues. He has acquired Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science division of KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology) in 2004.
